In this class we will explore how to pragmatically use the idea of "Buddha mind Taoist lifestyle" concepts For better living. Developing Discernment, Simplicity, Happiness, Joy and Harmony with what is around you.
This method, HSIN FA, was passed to me by my Master YUEN YING GAO and Comes from the White Hair Temple (WAH SAU TOI) on LUOFU SHAN in southern china. This Mountain Is sacred In Taoist Tradition, but was also Frequented By Buddhist lineages. I am the ONLY western Inheritor in the 800 year old GAO family Martial and Healing tradition.
These Methods are very Practical And I feel a great need to teach Them ESPECIALLY given the difficult times- As the old saying goes- "may you be blessed to be born in interesting times" The 8 month course (starts April 11 Th ends Dec 15 Th) will follow the 5 elements cycle-starting With WOOD and followed by FIRE,EARTH,METAL and WATER. We will spend about 1.5 months per Element learning about that element's influences and methods to incorporate those energies into our Mental, Spiritual and Physical lives.
Each seasonal lecture series will cover material from 4 Topics- they are: PHILOSOPHY. QI GUNG / MEDITATION. LIFESTYLE-Diet,Herbs,Energetic's. I QING -how to use, understand and Apply it. There will be a total of 30 hrs instruction with 6 hrs per element.
All classes will be Pre-recorded and loaded into a google classroom. They will be available 24 hrs a day for unlimited viewing. The classroom will be open for discussion,questions and guidance.
